A 25-year-old man has been arrested after another man was stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent last night.
Police were called to Abbey Hulton, at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, following two reports of incidents involving a bladed weapon.
Officers arrived and after carrying out a search they arrested a 25-year-old man, from Stoke, on suspicion of affray and wounding with intent.
Another man was taken to hospital with knife wounds.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “We were called to an area of Abbey Hulton shortly before 7:30pm last night to reports of two incidents involving a bladed weapon.
“Officers arrived and carried out an area search – arresting a 25-year-old man from Stoke a short time later on suspicion of affray and wounding with intent.
“He remains in police custody at this time. Another man was taken to hospital with knife wounds. An investigation is underway.”
