Police officers have made an arrest and told several others to leave as part of a major clampdown on anti-social behaviour in a town centre.
Officers in Newcastle were patrolling the town centre earlier today.
As a result of the crackdown one man was arrested and several others were told to leave the area.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Following recent reports of anti-social behaviour in Newcastle Town Centre, local officers have carried out an Operation to tackle the issues you have reported.
“So far today we have made one arrest and several other persons have been given direction to leave the area.”
