Police name man charged with murder following death of 29-year-old Stoke-on-Trent woman



Police officers have named a man due to appear in court following the death of a 29-year-old woman in Stoke-on-Trent.

Lewis Crofts, 39, of Broadstone, Dorset, will appear before North Staffordshire Justice Centre tomorrow morning charged with murder (November 9).

It comes after emergency services were called to Leigh Street, Burslem, at around 4.45pm on Friday (November 6) after reports a woman had been seriously injured.

Staffordshire Police named the victim as Kimberley Deakin, 29, from Burslem.

A Home Office post mortem examination found the cause of Kimberley’s death to be stab wounds.
