Police have named a 53-year-old motorcyclist who died following a collision on a North Staffordshire road.
Emergency services were called to Parkhouse Road, Newcastle-under-Lyme, last Friday to a crash involving a Kawasaki motorbike near the junction with Rosevale Road.
Sadly nothing could be done to save the rider and he was now pronounced dead at the scene.
Today police have named him as Shaun Warren from Newcastle-under-Lyme – and say an investigation into the collision continues.
A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “Specialist officers are supporting his family. They have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
“Detectives from Staffordshire Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
“They are appealing for relevant dash-cam footage or for anyone travelling towards the A34 roundabout at the time of the incident to contact them on 101, or report online, quoting incident 269 of 7 August.”
