Police name Stoke-on-Trent man charged with modern slavery offences



Police officers have named a Stoke-on-Trent man charged with drugs and modern slavery offences.

Usman Rafi, aged 25, of Hanley appeared before North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday, March 7.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Usman Rafi, 25, of Sandon Street, was charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A controlled drugs – cocaine and heroin, two counts of requiring a person to perform forced or compulsory labour and two counts of arranging or facilitating travel of another person with a view to exploitation.

“He appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Saturday 7 March and has been remanded in custody.”
