Police name two women after ‘mass disorder’ breaks out in Stoke-on-Trent street



Police have charged two women after ‘mass disorder’ broke out in a Stoke-on-Trent street.

Armed officers were sent to Waterloo Road, Cobridge, after trouble flared shortly after 3pm on Monday (June 1)

Eyewitnesses reportedly saw up to 10 police cars at the scene including the Staffordshire Police Dogs and Armed Response Unit.

Hayley Bell, aged 35, of Kettering Drive, Eaton Park, and Tracy Lyons, aged 56, of Portland Street, Hanley, were both arrested at the scene.

The pair have both been charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or violence.

They are now due to appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on July 28.

Staffordshire Police confirmed an 18-year-old woman who had also been  detained on the night was allowed to walk free after being handed a conditional caution.
