Police officers to pay special visits to children as part of ‘Operation Birthday’

Police officers across a Cheshire town will be paying special visits to youngsters as part of ‘Operation Birthday’.

With many young people spending their special days at home or away from their friends, officers from Congleton Police decided they wanted to do something to brighten up their day.

So two children across the Cheshire town will be visited by the cops with a special message.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “We are aware lots of children are currently having to spend their birthdays at home and missing out on parties with friends and family.

“At Congleton Police we have decided we want to make their day as special as possible by running #OperationBirthday.

“From the nominations each day, our officers will choose at random two lucky recipients and will be in touch, so please keep an eye on your emails if you have sent a nomination.”

To nominate a child to have a special birthday message send an email to Macclesfield.LPU@Cheshire.pnn.police.uk including their name, the name of the person nominating, their home address, and the age of the child.
