UPDATE: Police have now renewed their appeal here.
Police officers want to speak to anyone who could have seen a missing Stoke-on-Trent woman in a branch of Tesco.
Janetta Tatler, aged 65, has been missing from her home address in Hanford since 6.30pm yesterday (January 14).
Officers say they are following up on ‘various lines of inquiry’ as they search for Janetta but believe she could have visited Tesco in Trent Vale at around 7.25pm.
They are now keen to speak to a man who was seen chatting to Janetta while she was in the store. He is described as white, in his 60s or 70s, with grey medium length hair and was wearing glasses and a smart three-quarter length black coat.
Janetta is described as 5ft 2in tall, has short black hair and has a large build. She was last seen wearing a beige fur coat and black leggings.
Detective Inspector Scott McGrath from Staffordshire Police, said: “We are following a number of lines of enquiry at the moment as we look to find Janetta.
“This also includes obtaining CCTV to show the journey she may have taken from Hanford yesterday. We believe she visited the Tesco store in Trent Vale and would ask anyone who saw her to get in touch.
“We are extremely concerned for her wellbeing. The public’s response to the appeal we issued last night was extremely beneficial and we are again asking for the public to show their support as we continue our enquiries.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or by calling 101 quoting incident 534 of January 13.
