Police pull over drink-driving OAP – and he’d had a few ‘home-poured’ whiskies’



A motorist has tested positive for drink-driving – after having a ‘few home-poured’ whiskeys before going to the shops.

Staffordshire Police pulled over the driver – who is in his 70s – in the Stafford area earlier today.

He was later taken into custody for questioning.

A police spokesman said: “This 70+ driver is now in custody having provided a positive roadside breath test.

“He admitted having a few ‘home-poured’ whiskeys before going to the shops. The repercussions of his actions are just sinking in.”
