Police quizzed Stoke-on-Trent OAP after arresting her on suspicion of assault

An OAP who was arrested has been released without charge.

The 65-year-old Stoke-on-Trent woman – who has not been named – was arrested at a property on Thornley Road, Stanfield, on Friday, May 15.

She was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker by beating and obstructing the police in the execution of their duty and quizzed by officers.

But Staffordshire Police have now confirmed she has been ‘released with no further action’.
