Police seize alcohol from ‘large group of teenagers’ in Stoke-on-Trent

Police have seized alcohol from a large group of teenagers in Stoke-on-Trent this evening.

The youths – whose selection included Red Stripe lager, Captain Morgan’s, Amaretto and Kopperberg Cider – had congregated in the Lightwood area of the city this evening.

The drinks were confiscated and the group dispersed.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said:  “Alcohol confiscated this evening from a large group of teenagers congregating in the area of Lightwood. Despite losing their beverages they were all in good ‘spirits’.

“All were advised about the dangers of underage drinking and dispersed.”
