Police stop uninsured car after spotting unrestrained child in Staffordshire car park

Police officers pulled over an uninsured driver from a Staffordshire car park – and discovered a child was unrestrained in the vehicle.

Officers from the Staffordshire Police Road Policing Unit stopped the car on the Kingsmead car park in Stafford earlier this morning (March 14).

The vehicle is now set to be seized and the driver issued a court summons.

A Staffordshire Police RPU spokesman said: “The first candidate for the double sticker winner goes to the driver of this car in the Police Stafford area who thought it was okay to drive with a child not properly restrained and with no insurance.

“This is not okay and he will find the hard way with a summons.

“Vehicle seized.”
