Police officers are urging people not to feel ‘pressured’ by cold callers after spotting two in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers from the Stoke North policing team were patrolling the streets of Tunstall when they saw the men.
Inquiries showed they worked for a legitimate company and they provided all of the necessary paperwork to officers.

But PCSO Nick Warrilow from Staffordshire Police is urging residents not to feel pressured by doorstop selling.
He said: “I saw two males knocking on doors along Carlton Avenue. I know there has been concerns previously, so I stopped to speak to them.
“They were from a legitimate company who try to get you a better deal on your energy supplier. They provided identification for themselves and their company.
“That said, please don’t feel pressured to use these people and there are many reputable comparison sites available on line.”
