Port Vale 2, Rochdale 1 RECAP – Conlon strikes in game of three penalties

Good afternoon from Vale Park. The Vale are back in action in their final pre-season game – and are at home to League One Rochdale.

They will be looking for another encouraging performance after back to back away wins, at League One Fleetwood, and Championship Nottingham Forest, as they prepare for the 2020/21 campaign.

The first competitive game is next Saturday, away to Scunthorpe in the Carabao Cup, and so players have the chance toi impress John Askey for that one.

This game continues a busy week for the club who have made three sigings – bringing in left back David Fitzpatrick, striker Theo Robinson and goalkeeper Dino Visser.

So, how will they get on? I’m The Sentinel and StokeonTrentLive’s Port Vale FC reporter Mike Baggaley and am blogging Live from the game.

So, follow me for all the build up, team news, action and reaction.
