The pundits are beginning to gather around Stoke City ahead of the big comeback – but not like the vultures they once were.
David Prutton’s regular Sky predictions see him go for a 1-1 draw at Reading tomorrow, despite Reading’s improvement ahead of lockdown.
Stoke fans might take that, a nice and steady start to their last nine games, and they will certainly go along with Dean Ashton’s assessment of the relegation picture where Michael O’Neill’s men are concerned.

He says: “I think Stoke will be too strong – I think Michael O’Neill has gone in there and made them really solid.”
But Stoke fans may raise an eyebrow about what he has to say about former boss Nathan Jones following his return to Luton.
The Hatters are second bottom, six points from safety with nine to go, but Ashton insists: “I think Nathan Jones going back in has changed the outlook for me, certainly for Luton, with their fixture list, you wouldn’t put it past them to put a run together, albeit they have lost some top stars from when he was there.
“I think with the issues with Hull and Charlton, I think both of them could easily be sucked in and both of them are capable of going down.
“Both Barnsley and Luton have the capabilities in my eyes to get out of the situation.”
