Railway lines are blocked after a train hit an obstruction on the tracks in Staffordshire this afternoon.
The train has hit the obstruction between Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter – meaning East Midlands Railway trains cannot run between Crewe and Derby at the moment.
Other stations on the route include Alsager, Kidsgrove, Longport, Stoke-on-Trent, Tutbury and Hatton and Peartree.
Rail replacement buses are being sourced.
East Midlands Railway first reported the issue shortly before 5.30pm.
An East Midlands Railway spokesman said: “A train has hit an obstruction on the track between Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter.
