Royal Ascot racing continues behind closed doors on day four. Lope Y Fernandez is the bookies’ favourite for the Group 1 Commonwealth Cup.
The three-year-old drops back in trip after a third-place finish in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.
Golden Horde, Pierre Lapin and Kimari also feature prominently in the betting.
Trainer Aidan O’Brien said: “We think Lope Y Fernandez will be happy dropping back in trip after his run in the Irish 2,000 Guineas.
“He seems to be in good form and he won his Group race over six furlongs last year.
“I’m not sure about the soft ground but he has form with an ease in the ground as well, he’s not a slow horse.”
The Hardwicke Stakes (3pm) features The Scout’s nap for the day – Elarqam.
He should prove difficult to catch if repeating his latest running when failing by a short head to catch Lord North, Wednesday’s Prince Of Wales’s Stakes winner, on reappearance at Haydock.
Express Sport will bring you all the results from a busy day of action at Royal Ascot.
