Royal Ascot tips: Final day selections with Sharing aiming to steal the show | Racing | Sport

British born Graham Motion, now one of the leading trainers in the States, can make it successful return to his homeland with Sharing in today’s Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. Motion, one the smartest operators in the American training ranks, has some unfinished business at Ascot.

His previous Ascot runners, Animal Kingdom and Miss Temple City, both bombed-out but he has the perfect candidate in SHARING (2.25, nap).

Last season she slammed Daayeh at the Breeders’ Cup meeting.

Daahyeh had earlier chased home Love, the winner of the 1,000 Guineas, with So Wonderful taking third place, at the Curragh in September.

Cloak Of Spirits and Quadrilateral, second and third in the 1,000 Guineas, command respect but both lack the credentials of the selection.

The St James’s Palace Stakes is very much a re-run of the 2,000 Guineas with the second, Wichita, third, Pinatubo, 10th Royal Dornoch, and 11th, Arizona, taking each other on again.

As there is very little separating them, PALACE PIER (3.00), unbeaten in his three races, is worth a punt.

This son of Kingman has only beaten donkeys but the manner of his success cannot be faulted.

The good to soft ground will give ONE MASTER (3.35, treble) an edge in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes.

She was unfortunate not to beat Donjuan Triumphant on her final start at this track in October when runner up after encountering traffic problems.

On that occasion she had the majority of today’s field in her slipstream.

The handicapper has given GUNMETAL (12.40) a cracking chance in the opener.

He is now 10lb lower than he carried at this meeting last year when sixth behind Cape Byron.

Aidan O’Brien can continue his domination with his juveniles by making it a double with MORE BEAUTIFUL (1.15) and ADMIRAL NELSON (1.50).

Both impressed when making winning racecourse debuts.

JACK’S POINT (4.10) can be rewarded for his excellent second behind Motakhayyel on Tuesday by taking the Wokingham Stakes.

The versatile WHO DARES WINS (4.40), successful over fences, hurdles and on the Flat, will be hard to catch in the finale.
