Former Stoke City youth keeper Adnan Kanuric is being tracked by Spurs, according to transfer gossip in today’s media.
HITC Sport carries a claim from the Daily Star that Tottenham are just one of the clubs keeping an eye on the 19 year old who was released by Stoke in January.
Kanuric left Stoke for Slovenian side SKF Sered and is apparently attracting attention. The report claims that AC Milan and Fiorentina are also keeping an eye on the keeper and reckons he is rated at £5m.
But fans will have to decide whether the claims should be filed as ‘agent talk’ or represent something more imminent.
Kanuric made his debut for Bosnia and Heerzegovina under-21s last June having also represented his country at under-16, under-18 and under-19 level.
The youngster joined Stoke in 2018 from German side Fortuna Koln, having previously played for clubs including Red Bull Salzburg.
Stoke’s academy have keeper Joe Bursik, the 19 year old England youth international who signed a new contract in January to keep him at the club until 2023.
He was on loan at Telford last season and has stepped up this season, joining League One side Accrington. He had played 20 games for them when the season was suspended in March.
Bursik has played for England through the junior age groups – part of the squad that were crowned under-17s world champions in 2017.
