Stoke City are reportedly in a series of clubs on alert as Newcastle United consider Jacob Murphy’s future.
Murphy did well on loan at Sheffield Wednesday last season and it has been suggested that he could be available for a similar move to the Championship this term.
He cost £12m when he joined Newcastle from Norwich in 2017 but faces a struggle to get into first team contention under Steve Bruce.
TeamTalk claim Derby County, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest are also interested parties, with Middlesbrough apparently already inquiring about his availability. Wednesday have also been linked again.
Michael O’Neill has already brought in left-back Morgan Fox and brought back centre-half James Chester.
A winger and midfielder are also thought to be on his shopping list as he prepares for his first full campaign in charge, while other positions may come on the agenda depending on departures.
