Stoke City’s home match against Watford has been rescheduled for live television coverage.
The Championship clash has been moved forward from the Saturday afternoon to Friday, January 22 (7.45pm) and will be shown on Sky Sports.
Michael O’Neill is hoping to improve his side’s record on the box this season. Only one of their 13 wins so far this season has been on TV compared to three of their seven defeats.
The reverse fixture at Vicarage Road was an entertaining game full of incident, with Watford eventually winning 3-2 thanks to a goal in injury time.
The main talking point from that night was Angus Gunn saved a shot that bounced on the line but was bundled over by Joao Pedro. Technology told referee Andy Davies that the ball had crossed the line – but he ignored the foul leading to that point.
