Stoke City fans have urged the club to go out and revamp their forward line in the January transfer window after they were beaten by Bournemouth at the Bet 365 Stadium.
Junior Stanislas’ goal 10 minutes from time sealed the victory against Michael O’Neill’s side who had hoped to keep up the pressure in the chase for a top-six finish.
But fans were quick to assess the lack of threat in the forward line which has not been helped by the injury to top scorer Tyrese Campbell who is sidelined with a knee problem.
Stoke’s problems up front were compounded as Steven Fletcher needed to be substituted in the first half and Potters fans were quick to make their feelings clear.
Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
Oisin: “Literally watch these games seeing if we can keep a clean sheet again because my optimism for a Stoke goal is at an all time low ever since Tyrese got injured. Fletch was the last hope for a goal and he’s gone within the first half.”
Wiggy: “The attack has let the rest of the team down week in week out we need a whole new front line bar Powell.”
Ollie: “Very unlucky, such a poor goal to concede. Striker needed ASAP.”
Baggo10: “Good performance from stoke but we are poor up top. Never look like scoring.”

Andrew Corden: “We need a striker now… we haven’t been bad at all just need someone to put the ball in the net.”
