Stoke City fans face an extended wait before they can attend matches at the Bet365 Stadium again.
It has been announced that Stoke-on-Trent will be placed in Tier 3 restrictions when the national lockdown ends next week.
In Tier 1 – areas deemed to have the lowest coronavirus infection rates – up to 4,000 spectators will be allowed in outdoor venues or 50 per cent capacity, whichever is lower.
In Tier 2 that drops to 2,000 or 50 per cent, whichever is lower.
However, clubs in Tier 3 areas must continue to play matches behind closed doors.
The tier which areas fall under will be reviewed every two weeks.
