Stoke City will issue promotional codes to let season ticket holders watch live streams of the final nine games of the season.
Stoke will play out 2019/20 behind closed doors, with the campaign resuming on June 20 – more than three months since the last match.
The matches will be squeezed in before July 21 or 22 in the order they were originally intended, although dates and times are yet to be fixed.
A club statement released this afternoon confirmed: “All nine of the Potters’ remaining league games will be streamed live via Stoke City+ on the club’s official website and app.
“The club, in association with StreamAMG, will issue promotional codes to Season Card holders who elect to take advantage of the streaming offer. Further details will be announced via the Club’s official media channels next week.”
Season ticket holders are being urged to make sure their contact details are up to date on the club’s website. Accounts can be checked here. Emails will be delivered next week with further updates.
Sky Sports will broadcast 30 Championship matches live.
Kick-off times have also been confirmed this afternoon.
– Tuesday – 5pm, 6pm and 8pm
– Wednesday – 5pm, 6pm and 8pm
– Friday – 6pm and 8pm
– Saturday – 12.30pm, 3pm and 5.30pm
– Sunday – 12pm
The EFL said: “Non-season ticket holding supporters will able to purchase these games (on iFollow) for the current match price pass of £10.”
A statement added: “The decision to structure this arrangement in such a unique way has become possible as a result of a settlement deal agreed between the EFL and Sky following the postponement of the competition earlier this year, and is one that has limited financial impact on the existing arrangement with the broadcaster at a time when EFL clubs have lost a significant income stream through a lack of gate receipts.”
