Stoke City news and transfers live: Michael O’Neill’s Blackburn reaction, talking points, player ratings

Opposition view

We took a look at what the Ewood Park faithful were saying on social media.

Blackburn Roverseas: Stoke are a team that can drag their feet at times and today was no different. It’s a must win on Saturday now against Swansea. Not gonna say I am upset…. But I am disappointed!

Rob Young: It’s honestly embarrassing how quickly the #Rovers boo boys come out of hiding to announce our season is over. Behave yourselves.

Thomas Evans: Could be very costly.

The results yesterday opened the door to Rovers.

Today we closed the door in our faces.

The Helpful Punter: Yes it’s a disappointing result but some of the other fans on here need to take a look at themselves. This team is overachieving big time given injuries to key players and they’re not losing. Keep going and they’re in the mix

Morten Kvia: Stoke got exactly what they came for, didn’t even try to play football. Credit to them for defending well. Maybe some changes should been made earlier, but always easy to say in hindsight. On to the next one

Rob Langton: At the start of the season we would’ve taken where we are now with 11 games left. We aren’t ready for promotion this year so just enjoy the ride.

Si Middlehurst: Bottled it again! As soon we get any where close to closing the gap on the play offs we perform like that!

John: We were unable to break Stoke’s lines.
