Stoke City will take on Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday evening as they continue their mission to dodge the drop at the bottom of the Championship.
Tony Mowbray’s side, on the other hand, are eyeing promotion to the Premier League and are hoping to be the side to break into the top six before the end of the season.
And as the two sides prepare to lock horns, popular football statistics website WhoScored.com have released their latest, updated, match ratings to shed light on who has been the best performing Potters stars this term.
Here’s who WhoScored.com rank as Stoke‘s five best performing players…
5) Joe Allen – 6.8/10

He has an average match rating of 6.8/10 so far this season and has an impressive 82% pass completion.

3) Danny Batth – 6.88/10
Danny Batth has been the best of Stoke’s defenders this season, according to WhoScored.com.
His average match day rating of 6.88/10 put him ahead of Tommy Smith and Tom Edwards.
And the stats tell you why, with Batth averaging 4.5 key clearances per 90 minutes for the Potters and has blocked a high 0.6 shots on goal per game.
2) Sam Clucas – 7/10
Former Hull City and Swansea midfielder Sam Clucas has had some impressive performances for Michael O’Neill’s side this term.
He may only boast one assists from midfield, but he has completed 36 passes per game on average under his new manager.
And his eight goals this campaign are much improved on the three he hit last season.
1) James McClean – 7.6/10
And the winner is… James McClean.
The Republic of Ireland international has hit six goals this season, helping him to achieve an average match day rating of 7.6/10 on WhoScored.
The 30-year-old has been a key player in O’Neill’s side in recent weeks.
McClean’s 1.5 key passes per game , while not being particularly spectacular, is bettered by nobody in the Stoke side.
