Diouf seals move
Mame Diouf has signed for Turkish club Hatayspor following his Stoke City departure.
The 32-year-old striker left Stoke this summer, having been at the club since 2014.
He had been linked with a return to Norway, where he has previously played.
But Diouf has now confirmed that he will be taking the next step in his career in Turkey.
Hatayspor are planning for a season in the Super Lig after winning promotion to the top flight.
Michael O’Neill is still looking to trim his Stoke City squad – but admits it is proving to be a “slow process”.
Ahead of the 2020-21 season, the Potters have signed the likes of Morgan Fox, James Chester, Steven Fletcher and John Obi Mikel.
There are likely to be more departures, too, with midfielder Badou Ndiaye closing in on a move to Besiktas.
Stoke kicked off their campaign with a penalty shoot-out victory over Blackpool in the Carabao Cup on Saturday.
Stoke City boss Michael O’Neill has been speaking about his plans for this week’s friendly matches against Premier League opposition.
The Potters edged past Blackpool on penalties in the first round of the Carabao Cup on Saturday in a fixture that was brought forward due to international call-ups.
O’Neill’s focus now turns his team’s 2020-21 Sky Bet Championship opener at Millwall on Saturday, September 12.
In preparation for that match, Stoke will take on Leeds at their Clayton Wood training ground today (Tuesday), before facing Newcastle at St James’ Park on Saturday (September 5).
Fuller joins Hanley
Stoke City legend Ricardo Fuller has signed for non-League side Hanley Town – at the age of 40.
The former Jamaica international scored 50 goals and made more than 200 appearances during an illustrious career with the Potters between 2006 and 2012.
The much-travelled striker went on to play for Charlton Athletic, Blackpool, Millwall and Oldham Athletic before officially hanging up his boots in 2016.
But he came out of retirement last year to join Northern Premier League outfit Nantwich Town.

Former Stoke City ace Marko Arnautovic has admitted he underestimated the Chinese Super League after making the move from England.
The Austria international joined Shanghai SIPG from West Ham United in a £23million deal last summer.
The 31-year-old says he struggled initially due to issues with training and his diet.
“I underestimated it,” said Arnautovic, who scored 26 goals in 145 games for Stoke before joining West Ham in a £25m deal in 2017.
