Stoke-on-Trent butchers remains shut ‘due to coronavirus’

A popular butchers remains closed this weekend after shutting due to coronavirus.

The shutters remained down at Parkers of Meir, in Weston Road, Meir, on Saturday afternoon.

It is not known when the shop last opened. Butchers are allowed to open in Tier 4 Stoke-on-Trent because they are classed as an ‘essential’ service.

Now the business has apologised to affected customers.

A sign attached to the shutters states: “Important notice. Unfortunately we have had to temporarily close due to Covid-19. We apologise for any inconveience.”
