Families have been left without power in Stoke-on-Trent following a ‘low voltage’ incident.
Around 181 homes in the ST1 area – including Northwood – were without power from 7.32pm, according to Western Power Distribution (WPD).
The incident is being described as ‘low voltage’ meaning fewer people are hit.
A WPD spokesman said: “These incidents tend to be smaller, more localised and could be why some of your neighbours still have power.”
The following areas have been hit:
ST1 6PN, ST1 6PL, ST1 6PS, ST1 6PT, ST1 6PW, ST1 6PY, ST1 6RH, ST1 6PR, ST1 6PX, ST1 6PP,
One resident said: “It was quite a scary one as it caused things in my house to spark.”
Power is due to be restored at 8.30pm.
