A Stoke-on-Trent mum is combining her love of Christmas and performing to offer families a magical experience at their homes this year.
Alisha Parker – also known as Gingerbelle the Elf – will be making socially distanced visits to children on the nice list in Staffordshire.
The mum-of-one has been performing since the age of 14, has worked at Butlins as a Redcoat, and sings in an ABBA tribute act.
The 31-year-old, who lives in Chell, said: “From 2009 to 2016 I spent my years living and working at Butlins as a Redcoat. In those years I saw seven magical Christmases through the eyes of so many children, and though Christmas has always been very special to me, it suddenly became more important.
“I felt so privileged to be someone that people put their trust in to create such an experience for them and their children. Seeing the eyes light up of both the adults and little ones as we helped them create memories that would last a lifetime was so fulfilling.
“Now I have a daughter of my own and love creating the magic for her too. I think we all need a little magic this year.”
When Alisha returned to Stoke-on-Trent after working at Butlins, she launched her own printing business on Etsy creating personalised Santa Letters – called Indi Designs & Co.
She added: “I love the festive side of the business, and I didn’t want to get a job that wasn’t creative, so I made my own business.
“Recently I’d seen a lot of people doing princess visits, but I’d been an elf at Butlins and helped run the grotto. I thought, why not put my skills to use and bring the experience to people in Staffordshire!”
Gingerbelle the Elf will arrive at your address and wave hello to your little ones and receive a personalised letter from Father Christmas with details about themselves and their friends and family.
Children will also receive a certificate, a festive treat, a Christmas story and a socially distanced photo outdoors with Gingerbelle.
Tickets cost between £30 to £50 depending on the number of children, with £10 video messages and elf on the shelf deliveries for £25.
Gingerbelle will be covering North Staffordshire from Biddulph to Trentham, with days closer to Christmas having dedicated areas.
December 22, Gingerbelle will be covering Packmoor, Harriseahead and Mow Cop.
Children from Sandyford and Tunstall can meet Santa’s elf on December 23, and Christmas eve will be dedicated to Chell Heath and Fegg Hayes.
Alisha added: “Gingerbelle the Elf can’t wait to travel all the way from the North Pole to deliver a letter from Santa to your door! She’s very excited to meet you all!”
