Police and forensic officers cordoned off a Stoke-on-Trent street after a man’s body was found in a car.
The emergency services raced to Balloon Street in Hartshill shortly before 11.30am today (December 11) to reports a man was found dead.
A cordon was put up in the Hartshill area and officers remained at the scene well into this afternoon.
Eyewitnesses reported up to six police cars, an ambulance, and a paramedic officer were at the scene.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Police officers are in attendance in Hartshill following the discovery of a man’s body in a car.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish a cause of death.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed paramedics were sent to the scene.
A spokesman said: “We were called by police to Balloon Street in Hartshill at 11:31am. We currently have one ambulance and a paramedic officer at the scene.”
One eye witness said a forensics tent had been set up in the area.
They said: “It looks as though there is something on a car park. A tent has been set up.”
