Popular eatery Klay Pizzeria and Bar has ditched Deliveroo tonight – after customers complained about waiting too long for their takeaways.
The venue – on Piccadilly, in Hanley – says it will take up the issues with the national delivery chain following tonight’s complaints.
It wants to hear from anyone who has had problems with their food this evening – and to bill Deliveroo for a refund.
In a Facebook post, the Klay team stated: “Unfortunately we have had to take the decision to turn off Deliveroo for the evening. We’ve received news that some pizzas are turning up very late or in a completely unacceptable fashion.
“This isn’t the Klay way and we will be raising the issues with them. If you have had any problems with your food this evening please email email@example.com and Deliveroo directly for a refund.
“Apologies to anyone missing out but if the food isn’t reaching you guys up to our standard then it doesn’t go out.”
