Stokie dancers AJ and Curtis Pritchard are on a mission to get the nation dancing – whilst raising funds for the NHS.
Former Strictly star AJ and Curtis – also a professional dancer who recently appeared on Love island – are encouraging people to get active and learn dance routines as part of their new campaign #DressupDanceDonate.
The brothers – whose family live in Sneyd Green – are encouraging people of all ages and abilities to join in with a daily practice which can be seen on their Instagram accounts @aj11ace and @curtispritchard12 from now until Saturday, April 4, when they will host an Instagram Live practice at noon.
People are then encouraged to join in with the full dance on Sunday, April 5 at 6pm and donate to the NHS online here.
AJ, who recently quit Strictly Come Dancing to concentrate on television presenting work with his brother, said: “Curtis and I are on a mission to get the whole nation dancing and feeling united, all whilst raising funds for the NHS heroes.
“We want to make it fun for all ages which is why we’ve added the dressing up element in, but this is not esstential.
“Whether you’re dancing in your PJs, fancy dress or a salsa outfit, it’s the taking part that counts. We can’t wait to see the videos of everyone practising and joining in – we will be sharing some of these on our social too!
“Get your dancing shoes on everyone and get ready to #DressupDanceDonate.”
Ellie Orton, NHS Charities Together Chief Executive said: “Thank you AJ and Curtis, for helping to get the nation dancing and to donate to our Covid-19 Urgent Appeal. Your support truly matters.
“And thank you everyone who has come forward to support our Covid-19 Urgent Appeal so we in turn can support NHS staff and volunteer who are caring for patients every day.”
