Louis Appere has “surpassed” all expectations at Dundee United, says boss Robbie Neilson.
The 21-year-old winger has been linked with Stoke City and Rangers, having enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season at Tannadice Park.
He has played a key role in Dundee United’s rise to the top of the Scottish Championship, and his club form has led to a call-up for Scotland Under-21s.
“Louis has been brilliant. He really has been excellent for us this season,” Neilson told the Evening Telegraph.
“We sort of allotted for 10-12 games for him this season when he came back from his loan in the juniors, where he did well.
“But he’s surpassed all our expectations to make over 30 appearances, scoring and creating goals.”
Stoke boss Michael O’Neill has revealed a plan to raid Scottish football during the summer.
