A teenager was taken to hospital after being attacked with a knife in a robbery on a Stoke-on-Trent street – with the attackers taking a ‘designer cap’.
The 18-year-old victim was crossing Hanley Road, Sneyd Green, when he was approached by two men in a car and assaulted just before 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
He was taken to hospital by paramedics and discharged that night.
Now police are urging anyone with information about the attack to get in touch.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Stoke-on-Trent.
“Just before 3pm on Sunday (June 7) it was reported that two men travelling in dark-coloured Toyota approached an 18-year-old man as he crossed Hanley Road (near the Co-op) in Sneyd Green.
“They made threats and injured him with a knife before stealing a designer cap.
“He was taken to hospital by colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and discharged the same evening.
“Enquiries are on-going and any witnesses or anyone with information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter or call 101 quoting incident number 336 of 7 June. Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 2.56pm to the junction of Sneyd Street and Crossway Road following reports of a stabbing.

“One ambulance, a paramedic officer and two BASICs doctors were sent to the scene where they treated one man for minor injuries.
“He was discharged at the scene.”
