Family attraction Go Ape is planning to reopen next month.
The popular tree top adventure obstacle course – which has a centre at Birches Valley Forest Centre, on Cannock Chase – is hoping to reopen on Saturday, July 4.
A spokesman said: “The government has started to ease the lockdown in England and we are ready and looking forward to being given the green light to reopen.
“Government guidance acknowledges that there is a much lower risk of transmission of the virus outdoors and have opened parks and forests nationwide because of the minimal risk of spreading the virus.
“We have conducted a comprehensive Covid-19 risk assessment to identify what operational changes we should make to minimise risk. The good news is that we are very confident that we can operate Go Ape safely, whilst observing all the Covid-19 government safety guidance.”
Some of the changes put in place include:
- Spacing of groups
- Additional water and soap or sanitiser hand washing stations for customers and our team
- Protocols which allow social distancing of 2m on the ground and in the treetops
- The ability for customers to wear face coverings and gloves should they prefer
