Three North Staffordshire men have been hit with £200 fines after police caught them breaching Covid rules – by playing poker.
The trio, who all live at separate addresses in Kidsgrove, were spoken to by officers after all three were found playing cars at one house.
Staffordshire Police have fined a number of people during the second lockdown for breaches of the rules, including the parent of a 14-year-old boy who had been repeatedly warned.
A police spokesman said: “We’ve issued fines of £200 each to three men in Kidsgrove who all live at separate addresses after officers found them to be playing poker in one of their homes.
“These men clearly went against current national restrictions and we’ve therefore issued fines.”
