Trentham Monkey Forest launches free online homeschooling activities

If you’re home schooling your little monkey – then a popular North Staffordshire tourist attraction has the perfect activities to help.

Trentham Monkey Forest has launched a range of free educational resources – including videos and activities – to help you with teaching at home.

Fun activities include monkey quizzes, how to talk like a monkey and learning about their diets!

The tourist attraction cares for 140 monkeys, and has been operating in Staffordshire since 2005 – but is currently closed to the public under the latest lockdown restrictions.

The resources are free to access, and they will be posting ‘Teacher Tuesday’ resources on the Trentham Monkey Forest Facebook page.

A spokesperson from the monkey forest said: “In this strange time, we wanted to help any parents who may be currently homeschooling their little monkeys. Make sure you follow us on Facebook and we will be providing weekly ‘Teacher Tuesday’ resources, activities and videos to help entertain and educate your monkeys!

“Don’t forget to send us any finished drawings, quizzes or activities on social media or email – we’d love to see!”

Some of the activities, like the colouring sheets and word search, require a printer, but other activities just need pen, paper, and some imagination!

It is more important now more than ever to stay informed and up-to-date with what is happening near you with a news provider that you can trust.

We have been providing that trusted service for many years, delivering factually correct and interesting local news, sport and information written by dedicated journalists living in North Staffordshire.

And now we are making you an offer to have that service delivered to your door at a huge saving – you can get your Sentinel delivered for up to 40% LESS than the cover price for the first 13 weeks, followed by 20% off thereafter.
