Two men have been arrested after a car went the wrong way around a Stoke-on-Trent roundabout in a bid to escape police officers.
The Staffordshire Police Dogs and Armed Response Vehicle Unit were pursuing the vehicle when it went the wrong way on the MFI roundabout in Basford shortly after 4pm on Saturday.
The car was found nearby in Broughton Road where two men were arrested.
Officers are continuing their investigations.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “Officers were involved with a car which failed to stop in the Newcastle area on January 9.
“The vehicle, a Seat Altea, was later discovered on Broughton Road with no occupants inside.
“A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of different motoring offences and later released under investigation for those matters while enquiries continue.
“However he was remanded to appear before North Staffordshire Justice for different matters.
“Meanwhile a 19-year-old man who was also arrested was released without charge.”
