Vespa seized as police believe driver doesn’t have insurance

A motorist has had their scooter seized by police.

The rider was in the Cannock area when they were spotted by officers from the Staffordshire Police Road Policing Unit (RPU).

They seized the Vespa as they believed the rider had no insurance and hadn’t completed a CBT test.

And there were no L plates on the scooter.

It has now been taken off the streets.

A Staffs Police RPU spokesman said: “This lovely example has been seized as the rider didn’t bother getting it insured, have L plates or complete a CBT test, so we quite happily impounded it and reported the rider in the Cannock area.”
