More than £5,000 has been raised in memory of a 21-year-old motorcyclist who died in an A53 crash.
Well-wishers set up the online fund-raising appeal following the death Jack Davies, from Silverdale.
They say the appeal will remain active until his funeral next week.
It states: “Jack lost his life in a tragic accident while riding home after a meal with a group of his closest friends.
“Nobody ever had a bad word to say about Jack. He had the kindest soul and was always there for anyone grinning from ear-to-ear with his cheeky grin.”
The fund-raising total has smashed through the £5,000 mark as an inquest was this week opened and adjourned into Jack’s death.
The former Newcastle College student was involved in a three-vehicle crash on the A53 near Loggerheads on November 4. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His inquest is set to be held at Stoke Civic Centre on February 25.
