An entire year group has been told to self-isolate after several coronavirus cases at a city high school.
Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent, in Tunstall, said ‘a number of students in Year 11 have tested positive’. Now the whole year group will remain at home for up to 14 days.
In a letter to parents, headteacher Shane Richardson said: “All Year 11 students should access Google Classroom and continue to work from home.
“We have provided laptops to those students who have indicated that they do not have access to them so that they can continue with their learning.
“The school remains open for all other year groups and students in those year groups should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.”
