A 41-year-old Stoke-on-Trent woman has appeared before magistrates charged with the attempted murder of a six-year-old girl.
Emergency services were called to Chell Heath on October 26 – with the youngster airlifted to hospital in Birmingham.
The girl has now left hospital and is recovering following treatment.
This morning Naomi Platt appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “A woman from Stoke-on-Trent has appeared before magistrates this morning (Nov 12) charged with the attempted murder of a six-year-old girl.
“Naomi Platt, 41, of Chell Heath, is charged with the attempted murder of the girl in Chell Heath on 26 October.
“She was remanded in custody by magistrates in Newcastle-under-Lyme.”
