Woman fined for hosting illegal lockdown gathering at her Staffordshire home



A woman has been fined for breaking lockdown laws after hosting a gathering at her home in Staffordshire.

Police attended the address, in Uttoxeter, on Monday February 8.

When officers entered the property they found two other people from separate addresses inside.

It came after officers had previously advised the woman about holding gatherings at her property.

The woman was cautioned and handed a £200 fixed penalty notice for breaching coronavirus regulations.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: “A woman has been fined for arranging a gathering at her home in Uttoxeter.

“The woman, 31, was fined after officers attended her address on Monday 8 February and found two other people from separate addresses present at the location.

“Officers had previously advised the woman about holding gatherings at her property.

“The woman was cautioned and issued with a £200 fine.”
