Woman suffers ‘potentially serious’ injuries after crash involving mobility scooter



A woman was taken to hospital with ‘potentially serious’ injuries following a crash on a busy Staffordshire roundabout.

Paramedics were called to the junction between Snow Hill and Foregate Street in Stafford shortly after 11am on Saturday.

Reports suggested the crash involved a car and a mobility scooter.

One woman was taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital – her current condition remains unknown.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called reports of a collision between a car and a mobility scooter at the junction of Snow Hill and Foregate Street at 11.08am on Saturday, one ambulance attended the scene.

On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman.

“She was treated for potentially serious injuries at the scene before being taken to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further assessment.”
