Woman taken to hospital after car leaves road in South Cheshire crash



A woman was taken to hospital after her car left the carriageway and ended up in a ditch on a South Cheshire country lane.

Police officers were called to Wettenhall Road in Reaseheath near Nantwich on Saturday to reports of a single vehicle collision.

On arrival the specialist rural cops found the vehicle resting in a ditch.

They called for recovery to attend the scene while the driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “We were called just before 5.15pm on Saturday 12 December following reports of a one vehicle collision on Wettenhall Road in Reaseheath.

“Emergency services attended the scene and found that a silver Toyota Yaris had left the roadway and was in a ditch.

“The driver of the car, a woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.”

One fire crew from Nantwich also attended the scene.
