World number eight Kyren Wilson beat qualifier Anthony McGill 17-16 in an unforgettable last-four tie to reach his first World Championship final.

Englishman Wilson trailed 6-2 after the first session but turned the tie around to lead 13-11 after the third session.

Scot McGill went one from victory at 16-15 but Wilson claimed back-to-back frames including a brilliant decider.

In the other semi-final, Mark Selby leads Ronnie O’Sullivan 13-11, concluding their match at 19:00 BST.

The final which will be played on Saturday and Sunday, will see fans return to the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield after the government announced that its programme of pilot events to allow fans at sporting events can resume from this weekend.
