The ambulance service has issued a statement following a stabbing in a Stoke-on-Trent street.
Paramedics and police were called to Brookwood Drive in Meir at around 1.03am on Saturday following reports of an assault.
On arrival one man was treated for injuries before being taken to hospital for further assessment.
Officers arrested two men on suspicion of assault and they have since been bailed pending further inquiries.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “We were called at 1.03am on Saturday to Brookwood Drive in Meir to reports of a stabbing.
“A paramedic officer and ambulance crew attended and treated one man who had been injured. He was given treatment on scene before being taken to hospital for further checks.”
The Staffordshire Police investigation into the stabbing continues and witnesses are asked to contact them on 101, quoting incident 24 of November 21.
