Armed police descended on a North Staffordshire street this afternoon after threats were made to a male.
Officers carrying guns were called to St Patrick’s Drive, Newcastle, at around 4pm today (April 19).
The dog unit was also called to the scene.
Police say there is no ongoing risk to the public.
Chief Superintendent Wayne Jones said: “Armed officers have been deployed to the Poolfields area of Newcastle following threats being made to a male in St Patrick’s Drive.
“All officers have now resumed patrol after conducting a search for a vehicle and those involved. No ongoing risk to the public.”
