Police have arrested the occupants of a car after it crashed while trying to avoid officers in a town.
Patrols in Stafford became suspicious of the car as it entered the town this afternoon, believing it to be a cloned or stolen vehicle.
The car failed to stop when instructed and led police on a chase around the town before a crash with a steel water pipe brought the pursuit to an abrupt end.
Assisted by the police dog unit, officers with the Staffordshire Police Road Policing Unit arrested the occupants after they tried to flee on foot.
